WHAT I DO.
Four things, done well. Every engagement starts with a conversation and a written scope - no discovery-phase invoices, no account managers.
Services
MOODLE PLATFORMS, END TO END
Most platforms I deliver are built end to end: infrastructure, installation, custom plugin work and a theme set up properly. For federations and groups sharing infrastructure, Nucleus - my multi-tenant platform - provisions isolated Moodle instances in about 60 seconds.
- Server provisioning, hardening and TLS
- Install, configuration and theme setup
- Custom plugin work where it earns its keep
- Multi-tenancy via Nucleus for federations
SUPPORT AS A SERVICE
A flat monthly arrangement that keeps your platform current and healthy: core and plugin updates, daily backups with monitored restores, uptime monitoring, and honest answers when something misbehaves. Available for platforms I host and platforms you host elsewhere.
- Core + plugin updates handled
- Daily backups, monitored restores
- A named contact - no ticket roulette
- Plain-English SLA
PLUGIN DEVELOPMENT
A decade of custom activity modules, blocks, reports, admin tools and integrations - built from scratch or rescued from an unmaintained state. Modern JavaScript where it helps, Moodle conventions everywhere it counts. Plugins I have already released are maintained and supported in the plugin store.
- Scoped fixed-fee quote before work starts
- Source code with documentation
- Compatibility with your Moodle version
- Twelve months of bug fixes included
APP DEVELOPMENT
Not everything I build is a plugin. I design and ship lightweight web apps and native mobile apps for both iOS and Android - Parea, my cooking diary, is mine end to end on both platforms. If you need a focused app built properly, this is that.
- Scoped fixed-fee quote before work starts
- Design, build and ship - one pair of hands
- Native iOS and Android, plus modern web stacks
- App Store and Play Store submission handled
How I charge
Apps
PAREA
A native iOS & Android app for keeping what you cooked and who you cooked it for. Parea has its own identity and site - it lives under the DK Labs roof but speaks for itself.
Prefab
Every project starts the same way: same folders, same starter files, same setup. Prefab captures all of it once, then deploys it whenever you need it.
LaunchGrid
macOS Tahoe ditched the app launcher. LaunchGrid brings it back - just replace the Launchpad icon in your dock and you're good to go.
NOT SURE WHICH
YOU NEED?
Describe the problem, not the solution - that's my job. If it's something I can't help with, I'll say so and point you somewhere useful.
